Founded in the summer of 2006, the Avalanche-Research Library is a public service organiztion based in Olympic Valley, CA and available everywhere via the internet. Our goal is to act as a memory bank for the avalanche community on both a local and global scale.

A-R is a place for people to interact by storing, sharing, commenting on, and viewing avalanche media. The model is an evolving project currently capable of sharing video, photographs and documents.

We are in a unique position being a privately managed, nonprofit organiztion. We work for karma.
